SUNDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2016: taking off the cleared supers.
SUNDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2016: first Apiguard treatment against Varroa.
SATURDAY 10 SEPTEMBER 2016: sorting out the supers ready for removal and extraction and putting in bee escapes.

Here is plenty of notice of talks that will take place this winter!! Note them now so you don't miss out. All the talks will be at Coytrahen Community Centre, starting at 7.30 p.m. and there will be refreshments at the end of the evening to give members a chance not only to talk individually to the speakers but also to talk to other members.

Monday 12 September 2016: 'The Relationship between Honeybees and Humans' - Professor Robert Pickard. (A member who has heard Prof. Pickard talk previously has said it is probably the best talk he has heard!!)
Monday 10 October 2016: 'Current research about bees being carried out at the National Botanic Garden of Wales - Natasha de Vere.
Monday 14 November 2016: 'Research on hive insulation and the thermal properties of different hives and trees' - Derek & Elaine Mitchell.

Monday 13 January 2017 Robert Jones, experienced beekeeper from Pembrokeshire, talking about his methods of queen rearing, and the breeding of "Native" Welsh Bees.
Monday 13 February 2017: 'Natural Beekeeping' - Gareth John
Monday 13 March 2017: Welsh Government's 'Wales Pollinator Strategy' - Dr Simon Bilsborough from Natural Resources Wales
