Cosmetics

Please be careful when heating wax as it is highly flammable. It is best to use a bain marie to heat wax. Always patch test cosmetics 24hrs before full application to check for allergic reactions

This soothing hand cream is easy to make and will leave your hands feeling soft and fragrant

Ingredients

Method

  1. Warm the oils and honey in an old saucepan until the honey melts. This should only be lukewarm. Be careful not to leave it unattended as it could easily catch fire.
  2. Heat the remaining ingredients separetely until lukewarm.
  3. Combine both mixtures in a sterilised jar with a screw top lid.
  4. Shake until mixed.
  5. Remove lid and allow to cool.

Shake well before using as a hand cream. You will be amazed at how quickly this luxurious cream is absorbed into the skin.



Hand Cream for Sore, Dry Skin

Here is a recipe I found for hand cream that is excellend for sore, dry skin. The recipe, developed by Rosemary Gladstar, is contained in the book Tasha Tudor's Heirloom Crafts

  1. Melt these ingredients over low heat.
  2. Cool to room temperature.

While these ingredients cool, mix together

  1. Add these ingredients to the first mixture.
  2. Whip together until their consistency resembles butter cream frosting.
  3. Store in a covered jar.


Sue's Sore Dry Skin Lotion

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in a 1lb honey jar with the lid loosely applied.
  2. Bring up to temperature so wax is melted.
  3. close lid and shake.
  4. Shake until setting point is reached.
